Meet the new boy! I got him from 
and his name is Maki Ateru ^^
- His first name Ateru means "to patch" while his last name Maki means "real/genuine"
- Ateru has a skin condition known as vitiligo which is a progressive lightening of the skin pigment
- This condition does not bother him regardless if people give him strange looks for it. His value system strongly directs him to believe that outer beauty is only a small portion of what makes a person "beautiful".
- he is good friends with the Nohara twins, Tasuki and Oriku. Although he is far more mellow than the twins are. He's also pals with Ochiau Touji.
- he has chosen to specialize in orthopedic medicine. Meaning he takes care of broken bones as well as issues with joints, skeletal birth defects and degenerative diseases.
- Confident in his skill but does not boast. he finds boastful people arrogant and repugnant.
- He has a huge amount of respect for Tsunade and is disappointed he doesn't get many opportunities to shadow her while in the hospital. Slightly jealous of Haruno Sakura because she gets to spend so much time learning from the Hokage.
- He is very afraid of dogs after having been bitten at a young age so he tends to avoid them. He especially keeps his distance from big dogs.
- He has an older brother who is a member of the interrogation team.
- He is paired with Ayame from Ichiraku Ramen. For a long loooooong time he would send for food to be delivered to the hospital just for the chance to get to see her. It got to a point he would get somewhat sick from eating so much ramen in a short period XD. Since then he's learned his lesson and partakes in some noodles a lot less. Though it did give him a way in to get to know the ramen girl more and gave him the opportunity to ask her out. Ayame was slightly put off by his skin condition it took some time for her to get past the unusualness of it and finally see the "beautiful" person under that.
