Edit: Before you make a comment about inter-family marriage, please do your research. It is not as uncommon as you'd think.
According to Japanese Civil Law, there are "levels" of relatives' distance. Parents and children are level 1. Brothers and sisters are level 2. So grandparents and grandchildren are level 2.

Those who cannot get married are couples up to level 3. Think about cousins. They are, for example, father's sisters' son. That means that they have level 1, 2, 1 distance in each relatives.

So cousins are level 4 relatives and can get married.

I personally wouldn't even get that close, Manami is a distant relative, not directly related to Neji. Very distantly perhaps, but very little

And Besides that point, speaking in terms of the pure bloodline.....how exactly do you THINK the bloodline remains pure...hmm? Food for thought

Information

Personality: Manami carries herself like a demure gentle bred lady. Although she is oh the branch group of the Hyuuga clan, sometimes it's hard to tell with the way she acts and presents herself. She often can be found daydreaming or working on poetry in her spare time.


History: When still a small child Manami was branded with ther Hyuuga clan sealing mark which is placed upon all branch family members. She was not impressed but at the same time did not carry absolute hatred towards the main house for the ritual. Eventually accepting it, she would make the most of it and always kept a colourful headband to cover the seal. Graduating from the academy at the age of 12 she was around the middle of her graduating class, not highly skilled and not a complete dropout either. Many years passed as she honed her skills and focused more on her genjutsu talents then on her Hyuuga clan Gentle Fist
style of fighting. At the age of 17, she was chosen by Hyuuga Hiashi, the clan leader as the bride-to-be of Hyuuga Neji. Hiashi stood very firm that the bloodline should remain pure, hence the arranged marriage when the two turn 19. Neither Neji or Manami are thrilled. Manami has a difficult time relating to Neji or understanding him as he's always seemed rather cold to her. But she holds some hope that this won't be a completely miserable life she's about to be thrown into, there's not much she could do about it anyway. Such is the life of a branch family member.

Extra Info: Manami actually is a talented poet, although she does pop out a poem here and there that would make you scratch your head in confusion oo;
